The Petersham Nurseries Incense Set consists of black incense sticks made traditionally with Jigat bark powder and charcoal rolled onto bamboo sticks, which are then dipped into naturally fragranced oil. Light them to provide aromatic fragrance during meditation or ceremony, as a natural insect repellent or to scent your home.
Amber: An intoxicating aromatic scent from the Middle East. Traditionally burned to promote love, happiness and spiritual healing.
Bergamot: A slightly spicy scent with citrus fruit undertones. Traditionally burned to boost concentration and alertness. T
Patchouli: Patchouli has been known to represent love and fertility. For ages, patchouli has been a known aphrodisiac. also esteemed for its anti-inflammatory abilities– thus, patchouli has come to symbolize physical healing, as well.
Lavender: A herbaceous, fragrant scent. Traditionally burned to promote relaxation and restful sleep.
Cedarwood: A soothing woodsy scent, cedarwood is known for it's purifying properties and believed to cleanse the atmosphere, promoting a sense of purity and balance. It is also known to repel insects.
Sandalwood: A warm and creamy scent with woody undertones. Traditionally burned to promote sleep and used in the Ayurvedic tradition for cleansing the air as well as a natural antiseptic.
Ylang Ylang: A rich, floral scent with notes of banana, from South East Asia. Traditionally burned to promote relaxation and alleviate stress.
Citronella: Beyond its practical use as a mosquito repellent, citronella incense infuses the home with a delightful aroma, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for residents and guests alike. Each packet contains approximately 50 sticks.
