Purple Heart variety - An excellent cut flower, wonderfully dramatic blooms with a deep sumptuous colouring.  Grow well in pots or borders and last well in the vase.

Ranunculus like any humus rich, well-drained soil, although sandy soil is preferred, in full sun. They are great in borders and containers, and make wonderful cut flowers. Plant with claw-like roots pointing downwards into moist soil, do not water until shoots appear unless the soil becomes very dry. Protect over winter with a mulch.
