Zisola Azisa Bianco 2023

Located in southern Sicily, near Siracuse, Zisola is owned by the Mazzei, a Tuscan family who spans 600 years of wine expertise. When visiting the area, they saw the potential of the land and pioneered an ambitious project. Aside perfecting the making of wine from popular Grillo and Nero d’Avola, they have participated to the revival of local Catarratto grape. They also planted international varietal Syrah which is well-suited to the local climate and soil. Today the estate spreads across 50 hectares, 21 of which are dedicated to grow vines which are interspersed with olive, citrus and almond trees. Their wines are vibrant, fresh, balanced and a great introduction to what Sicily has to offer.

Sourced from Contrada in Noto where calcareous and mineral soils lies at 130m high. Fermented at low temperature in stainless steel vats. A bright white wine with fresh aromas of citrus fruit and white flowers. Light and fresh with savoury notes on the palate.
